We take a look at the best way of transporting the all important water around your battery room, a battery watering cart!

What is a battery watering cart?

A battery watering cart is an easy to handle mobile water tank that allows you to easily transport larger amounts of water from the water source to the lead acid batteries in the battery room.

Are there different types of battery watering carts available?

Yes! The cart that will be best suited to you depends on how you are filling you lead acid batteries. You may have a high pressure injector system, a low pressure float based system or a battery watering gun like the Gun-X. Regardless of the filling system you have it’s really important that you use pure water when filling up your lead acid batteries as pure water deoesn’t contain any impurities that can damage the battery, our blog article talks about the liquid in a lead acid battery.

Here are our range of battery watering carts and some of the key factors to consider when choosing a cart that’s right for you.

High pressure carts:

Hydrocart Max

  • 75.7 Litre capacity.
  • Mains powered.

The HydroCart Max is supplied with 5.5 meters (18 feet) of power cord in a retracable cord reel and 4.6 meters (15 feet) of 1.5 centimeters (5/8") high output industrial hose. The submersible pump mounted inside the tank delivers all the pressure and volume required by the water injector system.

Hydrocart Mini

  • 37.8 Litre capacity.
  • Mains powered.

The HydroCart Mini is supplied with 13 feet (3.9 meters) of power cord and 12 feet (3.6 meters) of industrial hose. The submerible pump mounted inside the tank delivers all the pressure and volume required by the Water Injector System. It plugs into any 110 VAC outlet and handles like a hard truck.

Low pressure carts:

HydroFill Pro

  • 60 Litre capacity.
  • Battery powered.

With a huge 60 litre tank it also features a tactile LCD display that gives you instant feedback. The smart display even lets you know the purity of the water as you are topping up your batteries, making the best battery operated cart, even better. We’ve even integrated our HydroPure™ deioniser cartridge, giving you pure water for your batteries without the need to buy water or dont already have a deioniser on site.

HydroFill

  • 60 Litre capacity.
  • Battery powered.

This sturdy 10 US gallons (37.9 litres) polypropylene tank is designed to work with float-based battery filling systems or watering guns. Simply fill the tank from any available and suitable water source. This sturdy DC powered watering cart handles like a hard truck. The 12 volt sealed battery can be changed from any AC outlet. Simply connect to the battery filling system and turn on the switch.

What do I fill a battery watering cart with?

We only recommend using pure, deionized water to fill batteries. This can be other ordered in and stored in large bulky tanks or can be generated on site using a deionizer system such as the HydroPure. If you are using the HydroFill pro you wont even need a HydroPure as the cartridge sits neatly inside the cart.

  • Phew! It gave me so much relief when you reassured us that pressurized carts can help us water our batteries more conveniently. The owner of my local workshop has lots of car batteries to fix throughout this weekend. I’ll recommend this article to him so he can use the right vehicle to assist him. http://metransport.com/metrans-vehicles/
